厦门工学院以“百年树人，百年名校”为办学愿景，推行“博雅教育、知识教育、能力培养”三位一体的人才培养模式，坚持开放性、国际化办学，于2015年12月成立国际教育学院。

Xiamen Institute of Technology (XIT) envisions itself as a century-old institution and a century-old prestigious school, implementing a talent cultivation model that integrates liberal education, knowledge education, and ability training. It embraces openness and internationalization. And the university established the School of International Education（SIE） in December 2015.

厦门工学院国际教育学院是厦门工学院直属二级学院，作为学校开展国际交流与合作和实施国际化发展战略的主要窗口之一，同时也是学校开展国际教育合作、培养国际化人才的教学单位，中国华文教育基金会的“海外华文教育基地”，负责学校国际合作培养、学生国（境）外交流、中外合作办学、来华留学、华文教育等项目与活动的组织实施。

As the secondary college directly under XIT，SIE serves as one of the key platforms for the university's international exchanges, cooperation, and global development strategy. It functions as an academic unit dedicated to international collaboration and the cultivation of global talents. Recognized as an "Overseas Chinese Language Education Base" by the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China, the college is responsible for organizing and implementing various programs and activities, including international cooperative training, student exchange programs, Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, study-in-China initiatives, and Chinese language education.

国际教育学院自成立以来，以“扎根中国、面向世界、融贯中外、知行合一”为教育理念，不断拓宽人才多元化培养路径， 提升复合型、国际化人才培养水平。现与英国、美国、新加坡、澳大利亚、马来西亚、韩国、日本等国家的海外优质高校深度合作，常年开设赴海外大学留学预科、国际本科、国际硕士、长短期交流交换等留学项目，为学生们设计了一条涵盖多国家、多语种、多学科的多样化升学通道。

Since its establishment, SIE has adhered to the educational philosophy of "Rooted in China, Engaged with the World, Integrating Eastern and Western Wisdom, Combining Knowledge and Practice." It continuously broadens diverse pathways for talent cultivation and enhances the training of interdisciplinary and international talents. Through in-depth collaborations with prestigious overseas universities in the United Kingdom, United States, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and other countries, the college offers a range of study-abroad programs throughout the year. These include foundation programs, international undergraduate and master's degrees, as well as long-term and short-term exchange programs. These initiatives provide students with diverse academic pathways encompassing multiple countries, languages, and disciplines.

同时，学院还提供一站式全方位服务。通过设立“多语种研习部”，开设大学英语四六级、英语口语、雅思、德语、韩语、日语等多语种培训课程，满足学生多元化语言学习需求、提升学生外语应用能力。此外，学院依托学校与海外众多合作院校的资源优势，专门设立“海外升学指导中心”，为学生提供一站式留学咨询、规划、申请与签证指导服务，学生足不出校即可获得专属的高附加值升学服务与支持。并且学院还通过小班制分级教学、“学术导师+升硕导师”双导师全程护航、海外名校进校交流与学习等多举措助力学生实现海外学历提升目标，谱写国际化成长新篇章。

   Furthermore, the college offers comprehensive one-stop services. Through its "Multilingual Learning Department," it provides a variety of language training courses, such as CET4 and CET6, spoken English, IELTS, German, Korean, and Japanese, catering to students' personal needs and enhancing their foreign language proficiency. Additionally, leveraging the university's extensive network of overseas partner institutions, the college has established an "Overseas Study Guidance Center" to offer one-stop services for study- abroad consulting, planning, application, and visa guidance.
